This is a Taiwanese wood practice sword. A tsuba is supplied with this practice sword. The Taiwanese Bokken has a length of 102 cm and this practice sword has a flattened top.
A Shinai is essentially a bamboo sword, made up of four bamboo slats (take) held together at the tip by a leather cap (saki-gawa) and at the other end by a leather handle (tsuka-gawa). These two parts are connected by a nylon cord (tsuru).
