I’ve had this bag for a year and a half, and it has truly become my favorite. I not only use it to haul my gear, but I use it for travel, as well. Amazingly, it carries my Gi and belt, 16oz boxing gloves, shin guards, boxing shoes, small gear (mouthpiece, hand wraps, sweat towel) and a water bottle. I added molle gear to it so I can strap it to my motorcycle. Because it works so well as a backpack and fits so much, I haven’t even had to use it as a duffel bag.
Last year I travelled to Las Vegas for the Cowboy/McGregor UFC fight and just took this bag. It held everything I needed for a 3 day trip, including “dress up” clothes. This past weekend, my wife and I travelled to North Idaho (non-martial arts related) and it fit everything I needed for a 4 day trip, including two telescoping fishing rods, two reels and a small tackle box. I don’t like checking in a bag if I don’t have to, so this made a great carry-on.
The details with the embroidery and patches are great. It is getting somewhat beat as I toss it on the back of my motorcycle, throw it around the gym, and use it for general travel (there’s a hole inside the top pocket now, which can be easily hand sewn), and the highly ventilated netting is perfect for sweaty gear.
Highly recommend this bag. It’s multi purpose, and fairs well against a good beating. I guess that’s why it’s a Kyokushin bag!
